APL Celebrates Black History Month
In honor of Black History Month, APL has planned many exciting and interesting events throughout the month of February. The Laboratory's theme for this year's celebration is "The Legacy of Black Economic Empowerment Through Science and Technology." Scheduled events will celebrate the innovative contributions of African Americans and the African diaspora to the Laboratory, to our nation, and to the world.
In continuation of the tradition of providing support and service to the local community, each APL staff member is asked to bring a nonperishable food item to the Black History Month kickoff event on February 3rd in the Kossiakoff Center or leave their contribution in one of the boxes that will be placed around the Laboratory from February 1st through February 26th. Collected items will be donated to the Howard County Food Bank.
